MAPL YORK - TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW

 

MAPL [pronounced "M-apple"] is a power league for elite junior girls' volleyball teams along the mid-Atlantic coast.  MAPL provides high level inter-regional competition while minimizing travel costs [NO Stay-to-Play requirements] and missed days of school.

VENUE

Listed below is general information about the MAPL York tournament Venue.  Also use the side bar menu for additional details.

PLAY LOCATION

All teams will play at either the York Expo Arena or Memorial Hall West.  Both located at 334 Carlisle Avenue, York, PA  17404

​

BALLS & BALL HANDLING

• Tournament ball is the Molten Super Touch™.

• No Ball Handling allowed off the playing court surface for the safety and protection of our guests.

EVENT PARKING

There is ample FREE Parking at the Expo Center and Memorial Hall West.

CONCESSIONS

Concessions for the tournament are available on-site. No outside food or drink is allowed in the venue.  Coolers and large baggage are not allowed inside venue. If you choose to bring your own food and drink it must be consumed outside of the arena.  Anyone discovered bringing food or beverages (with the exception of water) will be asked to leave the premises and may not be permitted to return.

SEATING

Seating is provided for spectators.

COACHES HOSPITALITY ROOM

Coaches welcome to relax in hospitality room. Food and drinks provided.

ATHLETIC TRAINER

Certified Athletic Trainer will be on site and available for consult throughout tournament.

• Pre-play taping - athletes must provide own tape or pay $1

• Kinesiotherapy Taping - the cost of Kinesiotherapy tape and its application is $5 in all circumstances.

• Payment for these services will be made directly to trainers.

PLAYING TIMES

Saturday:  Either 8 am – 11 am AND 2pm – 5pm, OR 11am – 2pm AND 5pm-8pm.
Sunday:  Challenge Play beginning at 8 am, followed by Playoffs.
