PARKING
-
No Parking under the Porte’ Cache at Better Beginnings Daycare, Goforth Park, in front of the dispatch center behind Texas Tornados Building or any marked handicap or fire lane.

Please park on Wheat Cross Drive, in the Tornados parking lot or the old ASI Gymnastics center on West Road. You may also park in the parking spaces at Better Beginnings day care.

No coolers, outside food or drinks allowed inside the facility when the snack bar is open. Water bottles will be the only exception to this rule.

Please utilize courts only at the agreed upon times. Only players and coaches will be allowed on the wood courts.

Only Court shoes or socks will be allowed on the wood courts.

All children attending the tournament must be always supervised by their parent/legal guardian. Texas Tornados assumes no responsibility for injuries due to lack of supervision.

Contact person or a designated person running the event must be present and available at all reserved times.

Report all spills or cleanups immediately to a Texas Tornado manager on duty.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed inside or outside the facility unless special permission is granted. If serving alcohol, then you must provide a permit and security.

We reserve the right to remove anyone using profanity, not complying with Texas Tornados Training Facility rules, or displaying abusive behavior from the premises.

Designated walkways inside the facility must be kept clear for emergencies.

You must purchase a ticket to be allowed into the facility. Tickets are available online at Eventbrite or sold at the door.
Spectator Admissions
Tickets must be purchased for venue EACH FACILITY RUNS INDEPENDENTLY PLEASE PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE CORRECT FACILITY. TICKETS CAN NOT BE USED AT MULTIPLE FACILITIIES

Match Rules

Best of 3 sets (Sets 1 & 2 to 25 points, Set 3 to 15 points. Win by 2 points no cap)
-
For 3-team pools with no crossover: 3 sets to 15 points, win by 2 points. No cap)

Tie-Breakers
-
2-Way Tie: Head-to-head results
-
3-Way Tie: Set percentage then point percentage
No tie-breaker matches will be played.

Awards:
Awards will be given at this tournament and vary based on the size of each division. Check with Championship desk at the tournament for award details.
Winning teams of each Gold Round are eligible for FREE entry into one of our AAU Championship events, see the Grand Prix tab for details

Officials:

Certified officials provided for all courts and matches.
-
Each team must provide a qualified down ref, scorer, libero tracker, and two line judges for the matches they are assigned to. Not providing an officiating crew will result in a forfeit of the first game of the next scheduled match.
​
Athletice Trainers:
-
Trainers available for minor injuries and emergency response.
-
Athletes must bring their own tape and pre-wrap.
(Tournament supplies are for emergency use only.)
Facility Rules
​

Due to the incidents in the previous years, there will be a NO TOLERANCE policy for misbehavior by players/teams and spectators in the venues
-
Ball Handling is allowed on the volleyball courts only.
-
Coolers and outside food and drink are NOT ALLOWED in the playing facilities. Only water and sports drinks may be brought inside the facilities. Containers shoud have a secure leak proof cover.
-
Violation of these policies or any other general misbehaviors may result in IMMEDIATE dismissal from the facility for the remainder of the day.

Noise makers are not permitted.
-
Chairs may not be allowed at many venues. Contact us if you have handicap requirements.

Dogs are not permitted at tournaments. Email the tournament director for service animal approval.
Entry and Team check -in
Doors will open at 7am or 1 hours prior to the earliest start time.

Team check-in
-
Check in will take place at each playing site 30 minutes before you play. ALL TEAM coaches must check-in thier teams.

A printed and signed AAU Roster will be required at check-in
-
Coaches will be issued a tournament wristband once check-in is completed. The coach wristband must be warn in order to sit on the team bench.

Roster Disclaimer

Teams must be entered into AES prior to the event Please enter correct player data on AES within 24 hours of the tournament start. Failure to do so can make a player ineligible to play.

All players listed on the roster must be registered or members in good standing with their respective member organization.

All players must meet age classifications requirements.

All staff listed on the roster must be registered or members in good standing with AAU.

AAU MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES AND EVENT POLICY:This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc.

All participants must have current AAU membership numbers before competition begins (pending status is not acceptable).

Membership is not included in the event entry feeAll players listed on the roster must be registered members in good standing with their respective organization.

All players must meet age classification requirements.

BE PREPARED: Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at the event. Please allow up to 10 days for membership to be processed

This is an AAU Licensed Event Rosters must be imported from the AAU Website by the roster deadline.
Grand Prix guidelines
This is a Grand Prix event.
Winning teams of the Gold Round in each Age division (divisions vary by tournament) will receive a free entry fee to the 2027 AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships A minimum of 16 teams will be required to receive the full free entry. Divisions with less that 16 teams will receive a prorated discount based on number of entrants. ​

To redeem you must win a Gold round of an AAU Grand Prix event. Then you must register for the AAU National Tournament whereby you will get reimbursed for your entry fee. Register early some divisions may fill up quick​​

You must contact aauvolleyball@aausports.org after the event to let them know you are interested in attending one of the reduced entities events.​

*teams must register for the event by the appropriate deadline. The National and West Coast Championships, as well as the Volleyball Festival are open to any team, no qualifying required. For complete rules and guidelines for Super Regional or Grand Prix events, please visit www.aauvolleyball.org.
