FORMAT:         

Saturday Pool Play -Sunday Bracket Play- Depending on the number of teams per division. All matches will be best of 3 games to 25 with the deciding game, if necessary, to 15.  There is no cap. If there is a 3 team pool with our a crossover they will play 3 sets to 25 points no cap.

AWARDS:

Awards will be given at this tournament and vary based on the size of each division. Check with Championship desk at the tournament for award details.

Winning teams of each Gold Round are eligible for FREE entry into one of our AAU Championship events, see details below. 

 

HOTELS:       

Each team MUST go through the provided housing. 

​

Our organization has teamed up with a local non-profit, Lee County Sports Housing, to offer discounted hotel accommodations for this event. 

A team of local reservation specialists will share their knowledge of each property’s amenities; also the best beaches, attractions, shopping, and restaurants.

Reservation specialists are available Monday through Friday, 9AM – 5PM Eastern Time by calling 239-541-1800.

REGISTRATION:  Registration for this event will open in August 1, 2024. The deadline for entry is

May 17, 2024 or earlier if capacity is reached. Registration for this tournament is done on Advanced Event System.

REFUNDS:      No refunds

​

OFFICALS:      The tournament will supply officials for all courts and matches.

 

TIE-BREAKERS: For this year's event, there will NOT be any tie-breaking games played.  In the case of a tie, the teams will be ranked by head-to-head results in case of a 2-way tie, or in the case of a 3-way tie: set percentage, and then, if necessary, point percentage.

 

ROSTERS / TEAM CHECK IN LOCATION AND TIME:  

  • Check in will take place at each playing site 30 minutes before you play.

  • Printed AAU Rosters must be completed in AES by May 29, 2025 

  • A printed AAU roster by will be required at Check in. It must be AAU and not another organization. 

  • A printed hotel survey will also be required at check-in. If you are staying locally please complete form and enter "local" for your hotel information. 

 

FACILITY RULES:  

  • Due to the incidents in the previous years, there will be a NO TOLERANCE policy for misbehavior by players/teams and spectators in the venues

  • Ball Handling is allowed on the volleyball courts only.

  • Coolers and outside food and drink are NOT ALLOWED in the playing facilities. Only water and sports drinks may be brought inside the facilities.

  • Violation of these policies or any other general misbehaviors may result in IMMEDIATE dismissal from the facility for the remainder of the day.

  • No noise makers allowed at event

 

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: There will be a athletic trainers available to tape and assist with minor injuries and serve as a first responder to more serious injuries.  Athletes must provide tape and pre-warp for any pre-existing needs.  Tape and pre-wrap are only provided by the tournament for emergency purposes.

GRAND PRIX GUIDELINES: 

​

*Winning teams of the Gold Round in each Age division (divisions vary by tournament) will receive a free entry fee to the 2025 AU Junior National Volleyball Championships, or the West Coast AAU Championships, or the Volleyball Festival.  A minimum of 12 teams will be required to receive the full free entry. Divisions with less that 16 teams will receive a prorated discount based on number of entrants.

*You must contact aauvolleyball@aausports.org after the event to let them know you are interested in attending one of the reduced entities events.

*All teams must register for the event by the appropriate deadline.  The National and West Coast Championships, as well as the Volleyball Festival are open to any team, no qualifying required.  For complete rules and guidelines for Super Regional or Grand Prix events, please visit www.aauvolleyball.org.

 

AAU Membership Guidelines:

  • This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc.

  • All participants must have current AAU membership numbers before competition begins (pending status is not acceptable).  Visit www.aauvolleyball.org to obtain membership (club, non-athlete and athlete membership required).

  • Membership is not included in the event entry fee.

  • Players must meet AAU age classifications requirements 

  • All staff listed on the roster must be registered or members in good standing with AAU. 

  • BE PREPARED:  Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at the event.  Please allow up to 10 days for membership to be processed.

  • his is an AAU Licensed Event Rosters must be imported from the AAU Website.

Refereeing Responsibilities: Each team must provide a qualified down ref, scorer, libero tracker, and two line judges for the matches they are assigned to. Not providing an officiating crew will result in a forfeit of the first game of the next scheduled match.
